The PME is a fully qualified Mining Engineer with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) from the University of NSW, a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (FAusIMM), a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPE-Mining), a Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ-Mining), and is considered a JORC Competent Person (CP) and a NI43-101 Qualified Person (QP) in several metals and coal.
